NASA in their
original 1980 research study
stated clearly the G Force has
to be under 4 G’s to be
effective training on a mini
trampoline. laarger than 40
inches would make it difficult
to limit that size.
The
mat stays more fixed in that
position throughout the whole
movement; this is generally true
for rebounders that are under 40
inches in diameter (frame).
Metal springs can sustain
longer usage so provide
consistent acceleration forces
over time.
The tensile
strength is far greater which
means with each bounce the coils
do not stretch apart nearly as
much and so the tensile strength
on the mat is also far greater
leading to mats that remain much
more flat or on a perpendicular
plane to the horizontal of the
feet placement.

want one yesterday!!!! Seriously
– I can feel the energy coming
from thoise springs- that entire

Here it is:
Static electricity is something
that is relatively new to
man-kind; at least it is new to
us in the vast amounts that we
are exposed to as a result of
our modern lifestyles. Static
electricity is evident when
removing a garment made from a
synthetic material. That
cracking sound is caused by
large amounts of static being
released. This static may build
up and be stored in the body.
Travelling motor vehicles can

WOW...will do my
best to get to these questions:
1. I feel that the
trampoline will help do at least
basic exercise moment to keep
blood circulating and lymph as
well.
I am sure you can
begin gentle pulsing routines to
get the circulation flowing and
the lymph moving – however you
must take it very very slowly to
begin – by that I mean purely
pulsing –m almost just vibration
where you are letting the
surface tension of the mat rock
you slightly – and you focus on
gentle and deep breathing
routines – this can be quite
powerful but – no high intensity
rebounding. What does worry me
most is that the very nature of
rebounding is pumping your
calves, soleus and archilles,
100 times a minute approx – even
with a very gentle bounce. So
the thing is we don't chow is
how you are going to respond to
that. I can guide you through –
but we just dont know how your
body will respond.
It
may be helpful to wear a
training shoe to begin as well –
in that your heel will depress
into the mat the depression into
the mat will take your heel down
– it really doesnt want to be
worked too hard or to stretch.
That is what concerns me. You
say walking is a challenge - so
what you must do on the
rebounder is double foot
vibration not rhythm walking. At
least as you see how you are
responding.
2. It is
relatively safe and won't hurt
the feet...walking is a
challenge...I do play tennis and
make it happen...but suffer
later....
have addressed this
above – it is a new form of
movement for you – it may be
very powerful and healing – this
is a powerful healing tool but
TO BEGIN FOR A FEW WEEKS you
have to limit your urge to
BOUNCE....
3. I was
always in shape and an athlete
until this happened...now may be
7 years ago...but really
bad...the last 3-4....so I am a
bit out of shape from decreasing
activities and the corona bs...but
still not a fatty:) I am 5'8"
and built like a shit brick
house....german ancestry I
guess...very very tough and
strong and can take pain...thus
why I still play tennis...and
hobble around...
So the
rebounder provides a great home
gym so to speak – a platform
that you can move around as you
work out gently and treat
yourself in a variety of ways.
Using the bed of the mat for
mobility, stretch, raising your
legs at the end of a session
onto the rim of the mat – going
into deep stretch and relaxation
– these are important phases of
your exercise program – I
outline them in my books and
videos
4. I believe I
have ganglions and may be a
calcium tophi issue at this
point...yes I wore the wrong
sneakers and shoes....but have
used inserts and arch support
etc. for many years....It's my
heel/achilles tendon region more
than anything else...
this can be immune related as
well. Treat the lymph –
stimulate the immunes. Diet wise
I would start taking fenugreek
seeds seeped in hot water. A
teaspoon of seeds in boiling
water and over the course of
sipping start eating the seeds
when they soften –0 this cleans
the residue from your
lymphatic's.
Also grilled
oranges at least one mean a day
– I fast on them three days at a
time when my system is strained.
Cut the oranges into about 6
parts keep the skin on and grill
them until the pith is turning
black – turns fro acid to
alkaline – very cleansing – eat
2 or 3 at once in lieu of a a
meal. I would get some black
pepper and rosemary aromatherapy
oils and mix an olive oil bowl
then compress it onto your feet
wrap in warm flannels and lie
back with your legs raised.
Breathe deeply, start practising
visualisation – imagine you are
pulling the breath in through
soles of your feet and arches,
pull the energy up the back of
your calves as you breathe in
and up your body – this can be
powerful – start playing with
your breath!
5. I do
not believe that this is a bad
choice for the trampoline as I
have wanted to get a "good one"
for many years and just couldn't
find one...there used to be a
company that made spiral thick
springs in the us...don't know
where they are and I think they
may have been an mlm:(

I don't think this is a bad idea
– I just want to know that you
are prepared to go through this
carefully and with caution – you
will get better you have to be
very very gentle on yourself. I
have also been searching for a
rebounder I can sell easily for
my clients in the USA and
finally tracked it down. I think
that this Health Circulator is
going to be even a better unit
for you than the lymphaciser. IN
a few weeks I will sell it on my
new sites - I recommended it to
a client a few weeks ago and he
is over the moon with it. Before
this CV thing happened I was
waiting to have it shipped over
to me from the States to to NZ –
but time wasn't o my side. I am

I am

Pain and injury provide us with
such challenge in life don’t
they? I had a terrible accident
many years ago – right in the
middle of my busiest business
ventures – you could say at the
height of my rebounding career.
I was away filming when it
happened and ended up flying
back home to London UK in a
wheelchair. Long story - and
being told I would never walk
properly again didn’t go down
well!!! I do now walk perfectly
well- but there are still and
always will be remnants of that
experience lingering in my
tissues! The strangest things
kick them off.
It was two
years before I could use my
lymphaciser again - the nerve
damage was so bad in my spine
that the nerves could not
tolerate any stretch . .. you
probably know that damaged
nerves don't like to be
stretched!
So when I
hear stories like yours I put on
the red light and we explore
further – we need to go deeper
to get you to a point you make
the right decision and whatever
form of exercise and therapy you
undertake it is done in the
right way.....
. The
wrong decision is only going to
bring disappointment – and that
is not good for healing – you
need to feel inspired and full
of enthusiasm and take correct
steps forward now. From what I
understand from working with
clients over many years with a
variety of similar conditions –
this is going to take a whole
approach for the healing to take
place. Repeated stretching and

Is the pain worse in the
morning – does it normally
return after long periods of
standing or when you stand up
after sitting? Is the pain is
usually worse after exercise,
not during it?
have you taken
advise about the shoes you wear
– do they provide adequate arch
support/cushioning ?
I play tennis in pain and
cannot walk afterwards:
tell
me how you are exercising in
your daily life – apart from the
tennis – and leading up to the
tennis for example - are you
performing any mobility workouts
prior/ cardio routines/deep
stretch/ relaxation / self
massage of feet/legs/ have you
tried swimming/cycling/ how does
your body respond? have you
adapted any variety of stretch
for your arches. Simple home
exercises to stretch your
plantar fascia, Achilles tendon
and calf muscles? How does your
body respond?
This
problem has caused some
spinal/muscular issues as well –
tell me about your symptoms
....nothing including
massage, e-stim (of all types),
heat, soaks, oils, magnesium,
etc etc. have helped.
As
a result...my calf muscles are
always tight and that throws off
the rest of the bio mechanics
for sure...
Changing the
way you walk as a way to relieve
plantar fasciitis pain might
lead to foot, knee, hip or back
problems.Tight calf muscles – do
you drive a car / is one side
worse than the other/ do you
have any organic issues –
constipation/ abdominal
bloating?
Tons of
inflammation also...but take
natural stuff for that...NO
DRUGS!!!!! tell me about the
inflammation
I am

Bungees or springs
A lot
of this business comes down to
clever marketing unfortunately.
There are some good bungee
rebounders – not the most
expensive -
In my
experience bungees do not hold
the surface tension of the mat
nearly as well as a good spring.
Rebounding you need a very
stable taut surface tension –
this is not about jumping high
it is about pulsing your
routines – even fast cardio
patterns. However the feet have
to stay stable perfectly stable
– look at some of the videos on
your tube etc you see of bungee
rebounders – very hard to find
stability one foot sinks 6
inches below the other – bad for
the back and knees.
I
don't use a bungee – I have had
them and stopped them... I had a
Chinese firm manufacture for me-
to get the stable surface
tension you need it is
impossible for the average
person to replace the bungee –
way too much force required.

All that
matters is that you get the
correct unit for your
requirements. This remains

The story behind the
lymphaciser - The reality is
that over 40 years ago the NZ
lymphaciser range was designed
by a NZ guy by the name of Jed
Alward – he has passed away by
now. He was so pedantic in his
design so understanding of the
static concept – static -
lymphatic response -
electromagnet fields etc – he
actually created the Original
lymphacisers and then before
going bankrupt after a few years
sold on to another family. Ross
Reiger continued the company
then passed away and his son
took over.
In the
meantime I was living in London
UK and Greece for 35 years – i
drop shipped the lymphaciser
with direct delivery from the
manufacturers – I took over
marketing the trimilin range in
UK and Europe which was a direct
replica of the NZ lymphaciser –
the manufacturer of trimilin
purchased the licence from the
NZ designer – I sold from my
base in London UK and Greece for
over 30 years.
Problem
when Chris Reiger decided 5
years ago to sell the business
noone wanted to buy into the
lymphaciser – I was about to
return to NZ and found myself
without a supplier. I imported
the trimilin and set up a
company with the manufacturer –
shock horror when the first
container arrived – he had
changed the springs and I felt
like I was jumping on a dea
board – really horrified –
closed the busienss – scrambled
my website and I refused to
sell.
So Don Paterson
Natural Therapies purchased the
lymphaicser rights a couple of
years ago – I dont like his
attitude and wouldn't be
bothered with his products if I
didnt have to be. he doesn’t
understand the springs.
I
am not joking when I say this
lymphaciser is not the rebounder
for you – and I wouldn't bother
with the concoctions in his shop
either.....
I am sorry to
be so blunt – I cant wait to get

but he has copied marketing

other original pioneers. The
lymphaciser used to be
manufactured with a static cord
– connecting the frame to the
mat to actually ground the
electromagnet field. That was
removed in the manufacturing
process long ago. The springs
have been changed. Don also does
not even know anything about
session plan, skill development
etc – I wouldn't trust someone
because of their nationality –
NZ or USA – business men are in
it for money!
I was
shocked to see all this – I
actually tried a 38 year old
lymphaciser a few days ago -
manufactured by the original Ged
Alward – not the same rebounder
at all – so I dont joke when I
say dont get it – not with your
ailments.
Financially to
me I make very little either way

NASA in their
original 1980 research study
stated clearly the G Force has
to be under 4 G’s to be
effective training on a mini
trampoline. laarger than 40
inches would make it difficult
to limit that size.
The
mat stays more fixed in that
position throughout the whole
movement; this is generally true
for rebounders that are under 40
inches in diameter (frame).
Metal springs can sustain
longer usage so provide
consistent acceleration forces
over time.
The tensile
strength is far greater which
means with each bounce the coils
do not stretch apart nearly as
much and so the tensile strength
on the mat is also far greater
leading to mats that remain much
more flat or on a perpendicular
plane to the horizontal of the
feet placement.

I have a very strong feeling
about the Health Circulator – I
want one yesterday!!!! Seriously
– I can feel the energy coming
from thoise springs- that entire
concept – it is a healing
machine! – you juat have to find

Static electricity is something
that is relatively new to
man-kind; at least it is new to
us in the vast amounts that we
are exposed to as a result of
our modern lifestyles. Static
electricity is evident when
removing a garment made from a
synthetic material. That
cracking sound is caused by
large amounts of static being
released. This static may build
up and be stored in the body.
Travelling motor vehicles can
also cause static build up in
the body, as can wearing rubber
soled shoes which will prevent
static draining from the body.
Another major producer of static
is electrical wiring; static is
produced simply by the movement
of electricity along cables or

WOW...will do my
best to get to these questions:
1. I feel that the
trampoline will help do at least
basic exercise moment to keep
blood circulating and lymph as
well.
I am sure you can
begin gentle pulsing routines to
get the circulation flowing and
the lymph moving – however you
must take it very very slowly to
begin – by that I mean purely
pulsing –m almost just vibration
where you are letting the
surface tension of the mat rock
you slightly – and you focus on
gentle and deep breathing
routines – this can be quite
powerful but – no high intensity
rebounding. What does worry me
most is that the very nature of
rebounding is pumping your
calves, soleus and archilles,
100 times a minute approx – even
with a very gentle bounce. So
the thing is we don't chow is
how you are going to respond to
that. I can guide you through –
but we just dont know how your
body will respond.
It
may be helpful to wear a
training shoe to begin as well –
in that your heel will depress
into the mat the depression into
the mat will take your heel down
– it really doesnt want to be
worked too hard or to stretch.
That is what concerns me. You
say walking is a challenge - so
what you must do on the
rebounder is double foot
vibration not rhythm walking. At
least as you see how you are
responding.
2. It is
relatively safe and won't hurt
the feet...walking is a
challenge...I do play tennis and
make it happen...but suffer
later....
have addressed this
above – it is a new form of
movement for you – it may be
very powerful and healing – this
is a powerful healing tool but
TO BEGIN FOR A FEW WEEKS you
have to limit your urge to
BOUNCE....
3. I was
always in shape and an athlete
until this happened...now may be
7 years ago...but really
bad...the last 3-4....so I am a
bit out of shape from decreasing
activities and the corona bs...but
still not a fatty:) I am 5'8"
and built like a shit brick
house....german ancestry I
guess...very very tough and
strong and can take pain...thus
why I still play tennis...and
hobble around...
So the
rebounder provides a great home
gym so to speak – a platform
that you can move around as you
work out gently and treat
yourself in a variety of ways.
Using the bed of the mat for
mobility, stretch, raising your
legs at the end of a session
onto the rim of the mat – going
into deep stretch and relaxation
– these are important phases of
your exercise program – I
outline them in my books and
videos
4. I believe I
have ganglions and may be a
calcium tophi issue at this
point...yes I wore the wrong
sneakers and shoes....but have
used inserts and arch support
etc. for many years....It's my
heel/achilles tendon region more
than anything else...
this can be immune related as
well. Treat the lymph –
stimulate the immunes. Diet wise
I would start taking fenugreek
seeds seeped in hot water. A
teaspoon of seeds in boiling
water and over the course of
sipping start eating the seeds
when they soften –0 this cleans
the residue from your
lymphatic's.
Also grilled
oranges at least one mean a day
– I fast on them three days at a
time when my system is strained.
Cut the oranges into about 6
parts keep the skin on and grill
them until the pith is turning
black – turns fro acid to
alkaline – very cleansing – eat
2 or 3 at once in lieu of a a
meal. I would get some black
pepper and rosemary aromatherapy
oils and mix an olive oil bowl
then compress it onto your feet
wrap in warm flannels and lie
back with your legs raised.
Breathe deeply, start practising
visualisation – imagine you are
pulling the breath in through
soles of your feet and arches,
pull the energy up the back of
your calves as you breathe in
and up your body – this can be
powerful – start playing with
your breath!
5. I do
not believe that this is a bad
choice for the trampoline as I
have wanted to get a "good one"
for many years and just couldn't
find one...there used to be a
company that made spiral thick
springs in the us...don't know
where they are and I think they
may have been an mlm:(

I don't think this is a bad idea
– I just want to know that you
are prepared to go through this
carefully and with caution – you
will get better you have to be
very very gentle on yourself. I
have also been searching for a
rebounder I can sell easily for
my clients in the USA and
finally tracked it down. I think
that this Health Circulator is
going to be even a better unit
for you than the lymphaciser. IN
a few weeks I will sell it on my
new sites - I recommended it to
a client a few weeks ago and he
is over the moon with it. Before
this CV thing happened I was
waiting to have it shipped over
to me from the States to to NZ –
but time wasn't o my side. I am
so impressed with this as a
health machine – the site is

legs etc nothing unscrews and I

Anyways....I don't
want you to think or feel that
this trampoline idea is a bad
one for me...there is no way
that it could be...at the very

on it and torture them instead:)

tearing can inflame the fascia,
although the cause remains

tell me about the first attacks
– Activities that place stress
on your heel and attached tissue
— long-distance running, ballet
, aerobic dance ETC can LEAD to
the onset of plantar fasciitis.
What was it in your case?
Is the pain worse in the
morning – does it normally
return after long periods of
standing or when you stand up
after sitting? Is the pain is
usually worse after exercise,
not during it?
have you taken
advise about the shoes you wear
– do they provide adequate arch
support/cushioning ?
I play tennis in pain and
cannot walk afterwards:
tell
me how you are exercising in
your daily life – apart from the
tennis – and leading up to the
tennis for example - are you
performing any mobility workouts
prior/ cardio routines/deep
stretch/ relaxation / self
massage of feet/legs/ have you
tried swimming/cycling/ how does
your body respond? have you
adapted any variety of stretch
for your arches. Simple home
exercises to stretch your
plantar fascia, Achilles tendon
and calf muscles? How does your
body respond?
This
problem has caused some
spinal/muscular issues as well –
tell me about your symptoms
....nothing including
massage, e-stim (of all types),
heat, soaks, oils, magnesium,
etc etc. have helped.
As
a result...my calf muscles are
always tight and that throws off
the rest of the bio mechanics
for sure...
Changing the
way you walk as a way to relieve
plantar fasciitis pain might
lead to foot, knee, hip or back
problems.Tight calf muscles – do
you drive a car / is one side
worse than the other/ do you
have any organic issues –
constipation/ abdominal
bloating?
Tons of
inflammation also...but take
natural stuff for that...NO
DRUGS!!!!! tell me about the
inflammation
I am

I am a therapist. I have

experience bungees do not hold

Rebounding you need a very
stable taut surface tension –
this is not about jumping high
it is about pulsing your
routines – even fast cardio
patterns. However the feet have
to stay stable perfectly stable
– look at some of the videos on
your tube etc you see of bungee
rebounders – very hard to find
stability one foot sinks 6
inches below the other – bad for
the back and knees.
I
don't use a bungee – I have had
them and stopped them... I had a
Chinese firm manufacture for me-
to get the stable surface
tension you need it is
impossible for the average
person to replace the bungee –
way too much force required.

Starbound Sequential Skill
development
Rebounding
exercise is extremely
core-orientated. Simply to
maintain balance you
instinctively have to engage,
stabilise and use your core to
stabilize posture while
rebounding. Most problems
surface not due to engaging the
wrong muscles but due to
incorrect programme structure
along with a lack of sequential
skill development. The following
tips may be helpful, alongside a
suitable choice of a quality
rebounder, to achieve your
goals, and maintain a motivating
rebounding exercise programme at
home.
The Starbound
Workout is designed to introduce
a series of safe and effective
sequential rebounding exercise
skills which you can practise
and advance at your own pace.
Double foot strike skills of the
Rhythm Bounce provide the
foundation base for all skill
development. Each group of
Starbound Skills progress within
three phases – beginners 1*
Intermediate 2** and Advanced
3*** There’s no set time to
advance – but it is important to
practise and master the skills
sequentially to avoid injury and
to maintain correct posture. It
is helpful to remember that arms
and legs act as levers – the
longer the lever the more skill
and effort required. Keep it
simple and keep hands on hips to
begin, with short foot moves and
then gradually extend the arms
and legs as the skills evolve.
1. Perfect posture
Create a stable foundation for
your workouts
Pay
attention to posture and
releasing any residual tension
in the body at the beginning of
all workouts. If possible
workout in front of a mirror.
This enables you to check
posture and stay focussed.
Stand feet hip distance apart,
toes aligned, heels under the
hips.
Keep knees soft, not
locked out. I suggest hands on
hips to begin.
Lift the
ribcage and roll your shoulders
to release tension in the upper
body.
Bring your awareness
to you breathing.
Relax your
forehead and lengthen your neck,
relax the jaw, and flatten the
top of the head. Imagine a line
drawing up centrally through the
spine and trunk.
Check the
spine and pelvis are in neutral
position, neither tucked nor
arched.
To Stabilize the
pelvis we need the naval, pelvic
and public bones on the same
level on the same plane.
Tighten the abs and engage the
pelvic floor muscles.
Zip
the pelvic floor muscles up to
the navel and press the navel
inwards to the spine.
If you
create this deep band of
strength strapping your trunk
you’ll create a stable postural
stance from which all Starbound
skills unfold.
2. Purely
Pulsing Skills
When
starting out I suggest Purely
Pulsing on the rebounder for no
more than a couple of minutes at
a time – ideally a few times a
day. Add mobility routines and
sculpting & stretch workouts in
intervals – with a little
rebounding to begin. Gradually
build up your workouts to
increase the time of your
rebounding routines.
Set
up a Vibrational Rhythm Bounce
and Pulse gently to begin
Simply set up a gentle vibration
from the Posture Stance, and
allow the motion to release
residual tension. Your feet are
not leaving the mat at all. This
is important to help establish a
comfortable feeling of balance
which is a skill we lose if we
don’t use!
As you become more
confident you can start to add
simple arm routines. Within my
Starbound system of rebounding
exercises there are many
resolution plans that can be
adapted using Purely Pulsing
workouts. These include plans
and techniques for vision
improvement, facial exercise,
reflex stroking, breathing
exercises, and lymphatic reflex
techniques
Purely Pulsing
vibrational routines provide
numerous benefits for health,
healing and fitness and great
stress release for body and
mind. Only when you are
extremely comfortable, and have
observed how your body is
responding to the exercise,
should you progress to include a
selection of progressive skills.
3. Foundation Skills
The Rhythm Bounce and the Rhythm
Walk provide the two foundation
skills upon which all others
evolve.
Keep hands on
hips until all foot patterns are
naturally comfortable and well
established.
1* Rhythm
Bounce: Double foot strike

From Purely Pulsing add more
energy to the bounce – be sure
to establish foot strikes
correctly. The heel moves into
the mat fully. Many people make
the mistake of bouncing with
their body weight moving on the
front of the foot. When ready
you can progress to include
diagonal turns in your workout
routines. Be sure to jump your
feet as you turn about the mat
to avoid torsional stress on the
knees.
1* The Rhythm
Walk: Single foot strike
foundation for all Skills
Check toes are aligned and
raise and depress alternate
heels. Keep a centre bounce
between heel lifts will help as
you begin. Only move on to
single foot strike movements
when you are really comfortable
with the routine.
Be sure
each heel depresses the mat on
the landing downward phase of
the bounce. Introduce the
principles of cross crawl
practise for all workout skills
when practising the rhythm walk.
Using opposite arm and leg
movements introduces the
practise of cross crawl which
has many mind/body benefits –
right arm forward left heel
lifts, left arm forward as right
heel lifts
3. Skill
development
As workouts
develop it is a good idea to
create patterns where you
integrate a variety of skills
into simple patterns. This can
help to vary the load on the
joints and encourage a wider
range of muscular conditioning.

Programme
structure
The Starbound
Workout is designed to provide a
variety of routines within 5
workout sections. If bouncing
briefly practise any number of
routines spontaneously. For
longer workouts it is very
important to include warm up
routines, to mobilise your body
– I suggest including this phase
of the workout following Purely
Pulsing and before a more
vigorous workout. Warming up
helps to prepares your body for
the workout ahead and prevent
injury. Most people neglect this
important phase of the
rebounding workout - Mobility
routines performed on the bed of
the rebounder mat, should
include a variety of techniques
to mobilise the body from top to
toe.
Rebounders provide
ideal equipment within numerous
workout programmes. For a spring
cleanse, to tighten and tone in
time for the summer, and lose
weight along the way, the best
way to use the rebounder is in
interval training sessions,
mixing intervals of rebounding
workout routines with sculpting
routines performed on and around
the bed of the mat. The
combination of the rebounding
exercise with the sculpting
routines quickly targets flat
abs and lean hips and thighs and
total body conditioning.
Rebounders also provide an ideal
platform for soft impact High
Intensity Interval training
workouts which are the rage at
the moment. The use of the
rebounder in these workout
formats reduces the risk of
injury and strain from
repetitive impact. For the same
amount of oxygen your body can
perform a lot more work for a
lot less effort when rebounding,
than it able to perform on the
floor. All without the intense
stress impact that high
intensity training normally
places on the body. This makes
the rebounder ideal for the HIT
formats where you perform short
bursts of high intensity
activity with a brief recovery
rest period which can be
performed simply pulsing. The
use of the rebounder in these
formats can be adapted by anyone
easily to their level of
fitness. To be highly effective
skills must mastered and
performed correctly.

Starbound Sequential Skill
development
Rebounding
exercise is extremely
core-orientated. Simply to
maintain balance you
instinctively have to engage,
stabilise and use your core to
stabilize posture while
rebounding. Most problems
surface not due to engaging the
wrong muscles but due to
incorrect programme structure
along with a lack of sequential
skill development. The following
tips may be helpful, alongside a
suitable choice of a quality
rebounder, to achieve your
goals, and maintain a motivating
rebounding exercise programme at
home.
The Starbound
Workout is designed to introduce
a series of safe and effective
sequential rebounding exercise
skills which you can practise
and advance at your own pace.
Double foot strike skills of the
Rhythm Bounce provide the
foundation base for all skill
development. Each group of
Starbound Skills progress within
three phases – beginners 1*
Intermediate 2** and Advanced
3*** There’s no set time to
advance – but it is important to
practise and master the skills
sequentially to avoid injury and
to maintain correct posture. It
is helpful to remember that arms
and legs act as levers – the
longer the lever the more skill
and effort required. Keep it
simple and keep hands on hips to
begin, with short foot moves and
then gradually extend the arms
and legs as the skills evolve.
1. Perfect posture
Create a stable foundation for
your workouts
Pay
attention to posture and
releasing any residual tension
in the body at the beginning of
all workouts. If possible
workout in front of a mirror.
This enables you to check
posture and stay focussed.
Stand feet hip distance apart,
toes aligned, heels under the
hips.
Keep knees soft, not
locked out. I suggest hands on
hips to begin.
Lift the
ribcage and roll your shoulders
to release tension in the upper
body.
Bring your awareness
to you breathing.
Relax your
forehead and lengthen your neck,
relax the jaw, and flatten the
top of the head. Imagine a line
drawing up centrally through the
spine and trunk.
Check the
spine and pelvis are in neutral
position, neither tucked nor
arched.
To Stabilize the
pelvis we need the naval, pelvic
and public bones on the same
level on the same plane.
Tighten the abs and engage the
pelvic floor muscles.
Zip
the pelvic floor muscles up to
the navel and press the navel
inwards to the spine.
If you
create this deep band of
strength strapping your trunk
you’ll create a stable postural
stance from which all Starbound
skills unfold.
2. Purely
Pulsing Skills
When
starting out I suggest Purely
Pulsing on the rebounder for no
more than a couple of minutes at
a time – ideally a few times a
day. Add mobility routines and
sculpting & stretch workouts in
intervals – with a little
rebounding to begin. Gradually
build up your workouts to
increase the time of your
rebounding routines.
Set
up a Vibrational Rhythm Bounce
and Pulse gently to begin
Simply set up a gentle vibration
from the Posture Stance, and
allow the motion to release
residual tension. Your feet are
not leaving the mat at all. This
is important to help establish a
comfortable feeling of balance
which is a skill we lose if we
don’t use!
As you become more
confident you can start to add
simple arm routines. Within my
Starbound system of rebounding
exercises there are many
resolution plans that can be
adapted using Purely Pulsing
workouts. These include plans
and techniques for vision
improvement, facial exercise,
reflex stroking, breathing
exercises, and lymphatic reflex
techniques
Purely Pulsing
vibrational routines provide
numerous benefits for health,
healing and fitness and great
stress release for body and
mind. Only when you are
extremely comfortable, and have
observed how your body is
responding to the exercise,
should you progress to include a
selection of progressive skills.
3. Foundation Skills
The Rhythm Bounce and the Rhythm
Walk provide the two foundation
skills upon which all others
evolve.
Keep hands on
hips until all foot patterns are
naturally comfortable and well
established.

Bounce: Double foot strike
foundation for all Skills
From Purely Pulsing add more
energy to the bounce – be sure
to establish foot strikes
correctly. The heel moves into
the mat fully. Many people make
the mistake of bouncing with
their body weight moving on the
front of the foot. When ready
you can progress to include
diagonal turns in your workout
routines. Be sure to jump your
feet as you turn about the mat
to avoid torsional stress on the
knees.
1* The Rhythm
Walk: Single foot strike
foundation for all Skills
Check toes are aligned and
raise and depress alternate
heels. Keep a centre bounce
between heel lifts will help as
you begin. Only move on to
single foot strike movements
when you are really comfortable
with the routine.
Be sure
each heel depresses the mat on
the landing downward phase of
the bounce. Introduce the
principles of cross crawl
practise for all workout skills
when practising the rhythm walk.
Using opposite arm and leg
movements introduces the
practise of cross crawl which
has many mind/body benefits –
right arm forward left heel
lifts, left arm forward as right
heel lifts
3. Skill
development
As workouts
develop it is a good idea to
create patterns where you
integrate a variety of skills
into simple patterns. This can
help to vary the load on the
joints and encourage a wider
range of muscular conditioning.

Programme
structure
The Starbound
Workout is designed to provide a
variety of routines within 5
workout sections. If bouncing
briefly practise any number of
routines spontaneously. For
longer workouts it is very
important to include warm up
routines, to mobilise your body
– I suggest including this phase
of the workout following Purely
Pulsing and before a more
vigorous workout. Warming up
helps to prepares your body for
the workout ahead and prevent
injury. Most people neglect this
important phase of the
rebounding workout - Mobility
routines performed on the bed of
the rebounder mat, should
include a variety of techniques
to mobilise the body from top to
toe.
Rebounders provide
ideal equipment within numerous
workout programmes. For a spring
cleanse, to tighten and tone in
time for the summer, and lose
weight along the way, the best
way to use the rebounder is in
interval training sessions,
mixing intervals of rebounding
workout routines with sculpting
routines performed on and around
the bed of the mat. The
combination of the rebounding
exercise with the sculpting
routines quickly targets flat
abs and lean hips and thighs and
total body conditioning.
Rebounders also provide an ideal
platform for soft impact High
Intensity Interval training
workouts which are the rage at
the moment. The use of the
rebounder in these workout
formats reduces the risk of
injury and strain from
repetitive impact. For the same
amount of oxygen your body can
perform a lot more work for a
lot less effort when rebounding,
than it able to perform on the
floor. All without the intense
stress impact that high
intensity training normally
places on the body. This makes
the rebounder ideal for the HIT
formats where you perform short
bursts of high intensity
activity with a brief recovery
rest period which can be
performed simply pulsing. The
use of the rebounder in these
formats can be adapted by anyone
easily to their level of
fitness. To be highly effective
skills must mastered and
performed correctly.

Oxygenating the

If you have a resting
heart rate of less than sixty
beats a minute, don’t smoke,
don’t have chest pain, live a
healthful lifestyle and engage
in rebounding for forty minutes
or more a day at least five days
a week, theoretically it’s not

For starters,

In
addressing an overview of
rebounding I was confronted with
one single point. Why rebound
and what is rebounding?
Rebounding is the activity of
moving up & down on a spring
based mat.
The answer here
is really straightforward and

journey to get to this point is
interesting. There are so many
books, articles, opinions
written on rebounding, and many
professionals, teachers,
nutritional doctors, etc. all
claiming & extolling the
benefits of rebounding. There
seems to be only pluses to
rebounding. Then why is
rebounding so good and why many
of us are only hearing about
this now?
At this point I am
focused on a single direction.
The act of rebounding is easy to
see and simple to do. I refer to
this as the “functional window
dressing”. What is hidden behind
this activity and why is it so
impacting? My searching for
answers always, always comes
back to Natural Law. When one
engages with rebounding, you are
collaborating with Natural Law.
The physical act of movement up & down introduces initially the Laws of Gravity and Levitation. In addition there are laws of kinetic movement governing muscles, breathing, circulation, cellular fluid dynamics, shifting pressures of blood & lymph fluids, balance, coordination, eye movement, spinal realignment, etc.
All
this interacting with Natural
Law is what is physically
occurring and measurable. Again
I refer to this as “functional
window dressing”. What you see
may satisfy your brain & senses.
The activity may satisfy your
mind in that you are engaged in
activity & exercise. The

For the UK, Australia and New Zealand rebounder ranges, the Original RH48 rainbow lymphaciser rebounder springs are designed to take a heavier weight, of up to 180kgs which are suitable for heavier weights over 110kgs. They are also popular in professional training gyms and for sports specific training.
They are not as suitable for young children who will instinctively bounce high and need a softer surface for depressing the mat.
